Healthy eating for a healthier life

Healthier eating is not just about managing your weight, it's also about improving your general wellbeing.

Whatever your age, taking care in what you eat can help you lead a healthier and happier life as well as reduce your risk of heart disease, strokes, some cancers, diabetes and osteoporosis (thin bones).

And it's not as difficult as you might think. By making just a few simple changes to your food choices you will really start to see and feel the benefits.

Healthier eating with Live Well Suffolk

We have a range of services available to help you eat more healthily.

Adults
Lose Weight with Live Well Suffolk is our free 12 week programme promoting healthy eating and an increase in physical activity to help with your weight loss. Each weekly session includes a 60 minute interactive workshop followed by 30 minutes of physical activity.

We also have a team of Community Health Coaches who can work with you to develop personal health plans. Additionally, we run a range of free practical sessions such as advice on healthy eating including Cook & Eat classes, as well as physical activities such as spinning classes, Zumba and 'Stepping Out in Suffolk', a programme of guided walks.

 

Our adult programmes run from Ipswich, Haverhill, Felixstowe, Bury and Sudbury.

Children
Lose Weight with Live Well Suffolk also runs a childrens programme which is available to children and young people aged 2 to 18 who are above a healthy weight. It includes sociable physical activities and nutrition advice for the whole family.
