Free Beginners Zumba course to start in Brandon
October 19th, 2015People living in Brandon are being given the opportunity to try out the latest Latin-inspired dance fitness craze for free, thanks to a new course that starts in the town next month.
Our free six-week course starts on Monday 2nd November from 1.30pm-3.00pm at Brandon Leisure Centre on Church Road.
Zumba is becoming an increasingly popular fitness activity and our easy-to-follow course is ideal for people who haven’t tried it before. As part of the course, participants will have the opportunity to learn basic steps in a fun, friendly and non-judgemental environment. Not only will people be able to develop their Zumba skills, the course will also help to increase fitness levels.
Our Community Health Coach for Forest Heath, Toby Turner, will also be on hand to support participants to achieve any individual goals they may have, whether that’s losing weight, being more active, eating healthier or stopping smoking. He will begin each session by looking at the small lifestyle changes everyone can make to help them reach their target, and the Beginners Zumba course will take place in the last hour.
Toby said: “The Zumba craze is sweeping the nation and it’s a brilliant way to develop your fitness and have fun at the same time.
